IYB Games or Practice Cancelation Policy

Interior Youth Basketball, Inc. (IYB) does not have a temperature cut off for canceling games or practices. If the schools are open - PLAY ON!

When the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District cancels all "after school" activities, mid-day, they are referring to school sponsored activities. These announcements do not affect Interior Youth Basketball scheduled games or practices. Interior Youth Basketball, Inc. is considered a building rental, and therefore, not subject to the same school restrictions. IYB's basketball program is not part of any school district program or service.

The only exception to this is IF the schools buildings are closed all together due to weather, or other emergencies, in which case all IYB games and practices will also be canceled because we will not have evening access to the buildings.

If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to call the IYB Program Coordinator, or check the website for any announcements. We will do our best to provide the most up to date information as soon as it becomes available.

Updates!

If you, a family member, or a friend has lost an item of value, please contact the Program Coordinator. There were a few things left behind at various locations this past season. There is a pair of running(?) shoes, a child's coat, a backpack, water bottles, a sweatshirt, and misc. wearables. Be prepared to describe these items to get them returned.
