All Interior Youth Basketball games and practices have been canceled for the rest of the school year. Participant registration fees for the K-1 Little Dribblers' have been refunded. If you have questions regarding your refund, call (907) 457-4492.

Recreational Basketball Tournament in Valdez, Alaska

End of the Road Youth Basketball Tournament

April 3,4, & 5, 2020
Valdez, Alaska
This Tournament will be different than the Annual Hooping for Spring Tournament. All Team members must be enrolled in the same school.
4 games guaranteed. There will be 6 brackets:
3/4 grade girls 3/4 grade boys
5/6 grade girls 5/6 grade boys
7/8 grade girls 7/8 grade boys

Cost per team is $300. Team Housing at the school is free with a $50 refundable damage deposit.

Recreational Basketball Seasons

Fall Season: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, & 9th-12th Grade Boys & Girls.
Registration will open again in mid-July 2020; the anticipated skill assessment date will be in August right after school starts; Season dates mid-Sept to the week before Thanksgiving. Game nights are Tue/Thur

Winter Season: 2nd Grade Co-ed, 7th & 8th Grade Boys & Girls. Registration opens in mid-October 2020; the anticipated skill assessment date will be the first Saturday in December. The season begins as soon as schools re-open after the holiday break and continues up to Spring Break. Game nights are Mon/Wed for Juniors (7th/8th grade) and TBD for 2nd grade

Spring Season: K-1st Grade Co-ed The 2019-2020 season has been canceled. The anticipated registration opening for next year will be January 1, 2021. Game night TBD

Interior Youth Basketball, Inc. - Mission Statement
The purpose of this corporation is to provide youth with social contact; to implant firmly in the youth the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, and will grow to be decent, healthy and trustworthy adults. The object will be reached by providing supervised competitive athletic games and good coaching. The coaches shall bear in mind at all times, the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and that the molding of the future citizens is of prime importance. Coaches will be responsible at all times for setting the example and atmosphere necessary to promote and obtain the objective stated above.
